I'm sorry, your question has hit a funny bone with me... Is there a chance "Goofy" will achieve planet status? Hmm let's see, probably, let's get these astronomers together and see.. I can't stop laughing. Sorry, I'm laughing at myself for being so tickled by your question.

LOL! No we're not doomed! Pluto is still Pluto and is still affected by magnetic energy of the sun, and it still releases energy that is affecting the earth and all of us. Just because its now considered a dwarf planet in astronomy, does not minimize it's meaning in astrology. Don't forget that Scorpios are co-rulled by Mars, another VERY powerful planet

Why did Goofy talk and walk upright, while Pluto acted more like a regular dog? It all has to do with classification and taxinomy, right? Historically astrology "experts" assigned Mars as the ruler of Scorpio before Pluto was discovered.

Apparently Pluto is still a planet for astrology purposes. (See news) Don't think there is much chance that Goofy will achieve planet status. Sorry.

Yea that's a hard one. Technically Pluto is a sub planet So you have a planet that is a lame duck ruler. Yikes! You could end up like the USA. It's got a lame duck president. But why Goofy why not Donald Duck? Is it because Goofy is a dog who has a dog named Pluto?Is that dog really still a dog?

Dude, we scorpios got screwed. Now we're ruled by a wimpyass half-planet (which is SO beneath a sign of our stature), and I definitely don't want to go back to sharing Mars with that bed-hog Aries.
Honestly, I have no idea, I'd ask in the "horoscope" section instead of this one, though, I think people here are more interested in science of the thing.

You will not be assigned a new ruling planet. That celestial body has and will have influence in your life no matter what new information mankind might make about it's actual size.

Well what did astrologers do for hundreds of years before Pluto was even discovered, which was just in 1930 or something? Obviously it's all crap.

well in astology,the sun and the moon are considered planets,so Pluto will be your Ruling asteroid I guess.
