like about the whole story line. what the heck. especially at the end of the movie where she was in the house and her husband was in the house to but like they couldnt see each other and where they couldnt see each other in the hall of the school. when he said he could smell her purfume or w/e. some one please explain this to me.

This is the way I understood it...
Rose and Sharon didn't die in the car crash, but Christopher (the husband) couldn't see them because they're in two different dimensions. When Dark Alessa (the evil side of Alessa) reunited with Sharon (the good side of Alessa), a complete "reincarnated" Alessa was created. Now with Sharon's memories to work with, Alessa can extend her sphere of influence and create a world just like the one Sharon and Rose lived in, where they can stay forever. In other words, Alessa doesn't want Rose to leave her alternate dimension; she wants to keep Rose all to herself.

1. basically there were 4 silent hills, the way it was (in the flashbacks), the way it is now (when christopher is looking for rose), the fog filled one, and the dark one
2. the fog filled and dark silent hill is like purgatory, all the inhabitants are dead (from the fire), they think an apocalypse occured, but they are really stuck in purgatory
3. the people thought that alessa was a witch cause she had no father, so they tried to cleanse her by burning her, she was saved and spent her remaining years in a hospital, her anger is what brought the devil (represented by dark alessa) and gave her the power
4. the monsters represent various thing, such as the nurses represent alessas hospitalization
5. i'm not 100% sure, but it is possible that rose died, the little girl is part of alessa, and alessa is already dead, it could also be possible that alessa wanted rose to stay with her in the foggy silent hill so she could have a mother and live her life the way she wasn't able to cause of her being in a hospital
some things in the movie represent different things in the video game

those weird and wonderful silent solutions oftentimes let us know something about the origins of the be conscious e.g. Knight has its roots in the be conscious 'Knecht' (Dutch and German), the position that's not silent.
