Squares have equal sides so obviously it isn't a square. Maybe a rectangle?
A = L x W
= 8 x 4
= 32 cm squared

How is it possible???!!!! may be its not square,may be its a Rectangle. so the area would be
S= 4 * 8 = 32 cm^2
well now its a triangle
just do that
s (triangle)=1/2bh
s (triangle)= 1/2 *( 4* 8)= (1/2) * 32 = 16 cm^2

If you mean rectangle, than the answer is
8*4=32 cm^2
If you mean cube, than the answer is
2(4*4) + 4(4*8)= 160 cm^3

Now Randall I want you to look very carefully at the problem and tell us what it really says, because your question doesn't make sense. Are you sure it's a square, or maybe just a rectangle?
