I started taking ballroom just so I could make guys who think they are the bomb look like fools in front of their women that want to have fun and dance. My girlfriend doesn't take lessons but loves the fact that I do and can make her friends jealous as hell when we go out and I can dance with her. Also my niece just came back from Brazil she had a story that i thought was worded great...... She was dancing in a club there and told the guy she was dancing with 'thank you' he asked 'Why you say thank you?' she said 'Because men in America don't dance.' After a pause he asked quite awed ' What are they not men?' I thought that was great "Are they not men?" The first dance I learned was the tango. It is hot the girl has the most moves but when you are Tangoing the world wishes they were you.

Ha, i'm not out of school and i think i would. Life is short, learning things is one way to try to stay young and improving yourself. That and i can't think of one reason not to learn ballroom dancing... all it would do is make you happy and put him in your good graces. I don't get it. But the classes would be fun, try setting him into the class lightly, he might just not want to look funny.. some people have a problem with that.

My husband did when I asked him.
He was convinced he'd look like a fool...but it turns out he is a great dancer.
I'd also like to say that ballroom dancing is a lot like marriage. You have a lead and a follow. When the woman leads, it's much more difficult because of size, hard to look over a man's shoulder to make sure you don't bump into other dancers. When a man leads, he learns how firm he needs to be to get his partner to follow. After much dancing, he only needs a light touch to indicate what it is the next step he would like her to take (turn step or back step or even a spin) I found that the more my husband dances with me, the more it affects our marriage, as he knows when he is being too firm or when I don't feel like doing a particular move (dips are not my fave- slippery shoe incident- never again) anyway...it will definantly teach your man to lead and how to lead you.

I took one it was fun. Met many fine babes. It was soo much fun. Hum if i had a gf it would seem like a waist of time. Unless I also got to dance with other women. Sorry its just a frank answer.

I ABSOLUTELY WOULD. ESPECIALLY SALSA. IT'S SEXY AND TIMELESS, AND NON AGE-SPECIFIC. YOU CAN DO IT WHEN YOU GET OLD FOR EXECISE. PLUS, IT'S A JOINT EFFORT AND IT'S A CHANCE TO WORK TOGETHER WITH YOUR PARTNER TO ACHIEVE A COMMON GOAL.
