No... HIM means HIS INFINITE MERCY. It is a common misconception among listeners that HIM have Satanic affiliations or practice Luciferianism. The band's all-black dress, hints of sadism, blood and other gothic topics in their lyrics [3], and the heartagram logo have all contributed to this. Although they are not dedicated Satanists, much of their imagery and lyrical references do bear a resemblance to the more romantic elements of Satanic beliefs, specifically one's natural indulgence in lust and "animal" desires (something the Church of Satan condones as a way to separate themselves from conservative values). In fact, on one episode of Viva la Bam Ville can be seen wearing a small wooden cross around his neck, indicating not the connection to Satan, but Christianity. It is not uncommon for other metal bands, such as Mötley Crüe, to adopt this mentality with the sole purpose of upholding an alternative identity, and not necessarily to "worship the devil" (the Church of Satan itself merely believes in Satan as a personification, not as an actual entity).

not really they are heavy/speed metal.Not sure about them believing in God though.
