Guns n Roses band name comes from a combination of Hollywood Rose and LA Guns, which the original band members were in before they joined together. LA Guns were also a fairly famous band in their own right.

If you mean the new line up Axl Rose and Buckethead are all I can tell you. The old line up originally was: Axl, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler. Steven Adler was replaced by Matt Sorum after the Appetite album. Izzy Stradlin left and was replaced by Gilbey Clarke midway thru filming the videos for Illusion 1 and 2. Then they all fell out after the spaghetti incident and the original line up split to do their own thang. Matt, Slash and Duff have now formed velvet revolver with scott weiland (ex stone temple pilots) andsome other bald guy with a dodgy looking moustache.
