Allright, my curiosity got the best of me: for what in the world do you use amethyst beads that woulld come under the category of Alternative Medicine? I make jewelry, and find it relaxing and even therapeutic, but wouldn't quite call it medicinal. There must be something else you do with them, I'm guessing, but have no idea what that might be.
Anyway, to answer YOUR question, instead of asking my own, I know you can get natural amethysts through Fire Mountain Gems. Of course, these are intended for jewelry. If looks aren't important (like I said, I don't know what you plan to do with them) look under amethyst chips for a better price. If it says (N) next to it, it's a natural stone. That's their coding system. (S) means it's been stabilized by heating, (D) means it's dyed, (M/M) is manmade, and (IMIT) is imitation. They do have natural amethysts, though. Just look for the (N) designation.

The person I buy all my stuff from is www.thecrystalguy.com. I don't know if he has any beads; but, if he doesn't, he'll be able to tell you where to get them.
