Sorry I would love to answer this question but I am a 23 yr old chicken I won't watch a horror movie. The olny two "horror" movies I have seen were the texas chainsaw and the ring(?) both freaked me out

"The Pit and the Pendulum" based on the book by Edgar Allen Poe. Starring Vincent Price Watched it one night when I was 12 years old and home a lone at night for the first time. I was literally freaked out.

My absolute favorite scary movie of all time is "The Exorcist". It was far ahead of its time.

i'd have to say The Haunting of Hill House- the original black and white version...a very haunting film- and much More plausible than the new one...saw it when i was a kid and i still remember it..
the scary bits are subtle but enough to creep you out:)
