Soon. It's already started cooling. I live in NorCal. It was 74 yesterday morning, and 61 this morning. At 12:53, I'm still wearing a light spring jacket.
Just hope for no native American summer (just being politically correct. You can call it Indian summer if you want.)

Here in the sunny south, normally the first frost is about a week to 10 days before or after haloween,. So sometime between about October15th-November 15th. Your area probably varries also in what you call cold, but in the fall months, is usually when the weather turns towards cooler nights, and cooler days. August, traditionally is the month that brings in the hottest weather and September, the breakup of that pattern. About now would be a good time to begin thinking of sweaters and stowing those shorts for another year.

Probably when December/January hit, Southern Cali has great weather most of the year around and it never really gets that cold.

i live in vegas, and its still hot. over 100. it gets cold here around november.it drops down to 30 degrees at night somtimes,i like it cold too

I'm in Dallas where average temperatures have been 105-108 degrees. Cold weather can't get here soon enough for me! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I heard the first Katydid here in northern Indiana on August fifth. According to some pretty accurate folklore, we should have our fist frost about September sixteenth.

never...the coldest its gonna get there even in winter is about 70 degrees if u want cold come up 2 washington
