Go camping, take yours or borrow someones kids, with the hot and sweatty little bodies running in and out, it won't take long to rid your camper of the fomaldehyde smell from the new carpet. Vanilla candle will help ease while you are in there. Happy Camping!

Like David said, the carpet (and everything else in the trailer) is outgassing. It will go away over time, but only if you open it up to the outside. There is no magic pill or method to remove the outgases.

Leave it in the sun with as much ventilation as possible. The smell is from volatile organic compounds (acetone, toluene) These evaporate at higher temps, and fresh air will drive the smell out of the camper.

as you know already you must open the camper up to vent smell out and run fans. Also, put out several boxes of baking soda as this will naturally and quickly absorb odors (just like in your fridge, same concept applies). Key word here is absorb. Throw away the baking soda when done and fresh. I would put 3 - 4 in every room or depending on size of camper one in every corner. Good thing it's cheap.

Have you tried leaving the doors open and placing a fan inside to blow the smell out.

Fresh air is the best solution. Everything else is just a cover up. I run into this a lot in home remodels. Good luck.

DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK--TO REMOVE THE SMELL OF NEW PAINT FROM A ROOM---HANG UP STRIPS OF NEWSPAPER, .OR RAGS, DIPPED/SOAKED IN VINEGAR----TRY IT---IT'S CHEAP---YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT, THE BAD SMELL.---MY IDEA, HERE, IS USING THE PROCESS OF EXPERIMENTAL "GENERALIZING" TO SEE IF ONE IDEA HAS OTHER APPLICATIONS----
