All I can say to that is IGNORANCE IS BLISS
People who judge others, often believe that they or their lifestyle or religion, etc..is far better, without taking the time to really look into it.

People outside the US use Americans they see or know about to judge us. People like movie stars and politicians. I have to wonder what I would think of America if all I had to go by was GW Bush?
This question, as already mentioned can apply to any class of people that one has limited contact with. I think that's where stereotypes come from.

Why do Americans judge people in other countries without knowing anything about them, too?
I think people who have met real people from other countries have a better perspective than those who only know what they see in news clips, movies, and political speeches.

I think its mostly because our actions as a country come across as arrogant and all knowing. Honestly I think Afghanistan and Iraq would have turned out better with more international support.

because they covet the american way of life for themselves. and as typical with children if they cant have what they want they dont want anyone else to have it and stomp like babies putting down THEEE GREATEST LAND that was ever blessed by god. pity them because they will crawl back under the sand sometime and realize we really are not so very bad.

we judge people based on what we hear without knowing them, so I guess they do the same as we do to them

why do people judge the homeless? why do people judge the obese or the handicap? no good reason and heaven forbid they were ever in their shoes.
