You can wear those waist cinching styles as you have a small waist and a flatter stomach. If your legs are short and chunky wear flowing pants and matching high heeled shoes to make you look taller and more regal. Tighter tops and flowing bottoms are the key.

Describing a body shape as long still doesn't convery very much - some additional information would help. Long can still be broad, or very slight, or well-proportioned and curvy.
For a long broad shape, clean, straight lines look good. If you're well-proportioned and curvy, take advantage and show it off with sleek, tailored lines. For slight frames, fitted lines look nice - stay away from too-loose or baggy styles since you're shape will be completely lost in them.

well it just all depends really. If you're talking about your stomach area being long and you want it to look shorter, then wear longer shirts to cover it up more. If you talking about having long legs and you don't want to look tall, mainly baggier jeans or flairs would work. If you want to make them stand out wear capri's or skirts.
It really depends on the look you're going for all in all. Wear something you're comfortable in, and something that would accent what you want it to accent.
