I'm sure there are a ton of websites out there on this. There isn't a definite answer. I'd like to think the soul of Marsellus.
Legend has it that the devil takes the soul from the back of the head. Marsellus had a band-aid there.
The combination on the case was 666.
No harm came to Jules or Vincent when they were shot towards the end, since they were returning the contents.
Anways, its an excellent film, and provides interesting things to consider.

Funny.....i have seen that movie a bunch of times and never wondered what was in the briefcase...and i am usually an inquizative kinda gal. Ummm......i just always assumed it was physical proof that aliens do exist...Never crossed my mind that it had NOTHING to do with the movie.

I always thought it was gold because of the golden glow coming from the suitcase when Vincent Vega opened it and because of the restaurant robber's reaction when he first saw it. But the suitcase didn't seem heavy. If it was gold, it would have been heavy. I guess on Quinton Tarintino knows.

well when ever they looked in the briefcase it was shining in they're face, so most people think gold or gems, but i think because Marsellus Wallace was giving the brief case to the guys in the apartment i doubt it was gold, more then likely it was drugs, because drugs are sometimes transported incased in tinfoil.

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! I haven't thought about that in a long time. I always figured it was some kind of gem, like maybe a big hunk of an uncut diamond straight from the mines of Brazil or something like that.

I personally think it's diamonds (maybe the diamonds from reservoir dogs!?!?!? jk), but I've heard interesting theories from people who think it's Marsellus's soul.
