Are we not actually part of the Universe? Are we not the same as the stars and comets etc.: just natural parts of the the whole thing?

By the definition of the word, the Universe includes all of existence. If something exists, then it is in the Universe.

How do you figure it's incorrect to say we live in the Universe?
We are part of it all.

Well if the Universe is made of a fluid just like the ocean is made of water and the fish live in the water,;then we could say we are living in the fluid of the Universe.

We think live in the universe, but really we are just a part of it. We just have the ability to think, which makes us believe we "live" in it. It depends which way you look at it.

we are the same as stars and comets we do rotate around our own star. therefore i believe we ourselves are within our own universe.

2) we live.

Therefore, we live in this universe.
