General chicano rap flaw: The pronunciation of the words isn't "crisp" enough to show off the rhyming.
Rap REALLY DEPENDS on videos and good choreography (example -- Eminem, who works out and does exactly what expert choreographers direct him to do). I don't see this "polish" for chicano rap.

For someone to be popular, they need to have folks like them or like what they do.
In answer to your question, I'm going to guess that they are either unlikeable or untalented.
