How do i verify where a computer is logged off from, its location?

I am currently chatting with someone on a regular basis and want to know if he is where he say he is......can i find this info out?

silly m's idea would be great.... if you had physical access to his pc, or you wanted to hack(i think in this legallity it's called crack) his computer in which case you would already know where he is. try a ip backtrace on him, that should give you his general location, definitely at least his area code. if you don't know how to backtrace or don't know what an ip address is, either forget the whole thing or make friends with the biggest comp. tech kid in school and ask him politely to do it. G/L

only way I can think to do it is get gotomypc.com, and install it on his pc.
