I had my first son Nov 6, 2005 and we are ready to try for a second. I stopped taking my mini-pills (progesterone only) 2 months ago. My last period was August 1st and I am not preg yet. Does anyone have any advice or anyone that has used the mini-pills and about how long it takes to get preg after stopping? (I know they are supposed to leave you body immediatly after stopping them unlike reg pills.)

Mini-pills are great, and they do leave your system right away, but your natural cycle may be thrown way out of whack for a little bit. (Not necessarily because of the pills...Your cycle can change after having a baby, and, because you've been on the pill, you don't know what your natural rhythm is.)

I had a baby July 5, 2005, and took mini-pills for about a year while I was nursing her. It took 11 months to get my first period, which lasted 4 weeks (no kidding). I didn't get one the next month. And my next period, which came unexpectedly early, only lasted 3 days. So, obviously, I'm still adjusting.

I'd definitely give it a few more months before worrying about it.

its only been 4 weeks, you have to give your body time to get back into the rythym of ovulating. go to www.fertilityfriend.com and you should start to chart, take your temperature every monrning that will give you an almost accurate ovulation day that way you will know when you O so that you can get pg faster
