The Italian Job (the REAL one with Michael Caine)
Phone Booth (very original premise)
Formula 51 with Sam Jackson
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrles
Love, Honour and Obey
Nikita by Luc Besson
Leon by Luc Besson
also liked all the Lethal Weapon Movies but am not a fan of Willis so Die Hard is out.

Hard Boiled.
Made by John Woo before he went to Hollywood and sold himself out to the "cookie-cutter" movie-making system.
Hard Boiled is in Cantonese, but you should be able to find a dvd with dubbed english or subtitles.
If you like action, get it. Then check out "The Killer", also by John Woo pre-Hollywood.

Ong-Bak the Thai Warrior, with Tony Jaa. A couple of years old. Incredible martial arts and chase scenes.
