....when it's my turn to enter that phase of life, I will wear devil's horns on my head whenever I'm in a lousy mood, just so my kids will know it's not because of them if I happen to snap at them. Any thoughts? I'll probably be going through that just when my future kids are starting to hit puberty. My husband is so excited about this!

I have been experiencing the negative effects of pre-menopause and menopause for way too many years. It is a fact of life, true, but it is sometimes unbearable and affects my personality, just ask my husband! I pray for the day when it ends, especially those horrible hot flashes and night sweats. If only men could experience ONE hot flash, they would understand what we're going through. Amen.

Why in the heck would your husband be excited about you going thru menopause? Does he have a clue what it is? You will be moody, have hot flashes and be uncomfortable, most likely making his life miserable. But don't judge anyone on this till you have gone thru it. It is terrible the hormonal changes women go thru in their lives. Periods, teens years, pregnancy, menopause, etc, it wreaks havoc on our emotions. Men should be as understanding as they can. But for you to say you will wear devil's horns or whatever, you have no idea. Explain to your kids what you will be going thru and tell them it has nothing to do with them. You can't help it, it is inevitable.

well i do not think your husband will be so excited when you start going through menopause...we get cranky and moody for one thing..we have hot sweats them cold...i do not think the woman can hardly stand being with herself...the only thing is the loss of your period. that is all i can think of that might excite him...but going through menopause can be very hard on the woman and her family....and they need to try to understand and help...i went through this at the age of 30 when i had everything surgically removed...and i ended up divorced but he was a abusive husband anyway...but i hope the best for you and hope you have a easier time than i did going through menopause....
