I had a negative blood preg test on Wednesday. I am not scheduled for my period for a few more days but the reason why I had it done is because I have been exhausted, occasionally sick, etc. Is it possible it was too early for the test to tell?

Actually, my wife took the tests many times, had blood tests, and all were negative. (She was having "stomach flue" problems she thought, but wanted to be sure).

After weeks and weeks of testing, all of them testing negative, the doc finally said she was pregnant.

So, I would go with your instincts first, then verify it with those tests.

I wish you well...

Jesse

well, how long ago was it that you had sex? depends on that I suppose. I mean, if you had sex on Tuesday and had the test done one Wednesday, then yes...it is quite possible that this test gave you an inaccurate reading. you have to wait at least 1 week or 1 before you go off and take a test like this.

for the most part, however, these tests are pretty accurate.

Blood tests are very accurate and sense female's body chemistry changes almost immediately upon pregnancy, time shouldnt be a factor. You might just be getting sick. Although a second test wouldnt hurt. They are not 100%

They say blood tests are 100% accurate but they have been known to be wrong.

I would think you were to early to test for pregnancy.

Depends what you have done. A HCG Quanitive just says yes or no. A Qualitive measure the amout of HCG (pregnancy hormone) in your body and is 100% accurate. So accuarte it can tell you approximatly how far along you are.

you have not stated what percentage days previous ovulation you're or in case you had a neglected era. you'll oftentimes locate that a clinical professional received't order the blood try in case you have not mised your era. also, in case you do get a blood try, make effective ask them to request the bottom detection reduce as I extremely have heard of folk that were given a blood try that became unfavorable and then went domicile and were given a BFP on the HPT and it became because the clinical professional did not order a smooth blood try. besides - goodluck. Hoping for a BFP.

Blood pregnancy test are more accurate then home pregnancy test. If you took it and it is telling you that it is negative then you may not be pregnant.

Its the best you'll get. I'd trust it over a urine test. If you still think you are preggy, do another blood test in a week.
