my friend got a notice in the mail from them saying warning from copyright or whatever ...he got caught dling a movie....do they report you or something.....he didn't get a fine...just a warning....

take it normally it's just warning because he used copyright images or whatever so he's receiving i did too once.... nothing is to worry make sure it doesn't happens in future

That is probably a terms of service violation. That means that the ISP received notice from the copyright owner. Typically, if this person gets caught again, they will lose internet service or receive a fine, or both. I know somebody who was fined $1500 for this, be careful.

Comcast is covering their rear. If your friend gets sued, Comcast can say they warned him, and they'll be off the hook.

he better stop... or else they'll terminate his internet with comcast.


they probably won't report it.... but someone probably complained. and whoever complained is obviously not happy with what he is doing.

comcast is protecting themselves by serving a warning.
