If you had to choose between:
Life with a computer but no internet
or
Life with as many books as you want (so you never have to read the same thing)

which would you choose?

I would have to live with books, and this is why:

A computer w/out internet contains only what you put into it.

A collection of every book in the world (even though this isn't what you said) contains dynamic information from those around the world (Which is what the internet is, basically).

I'd take the low-tech dynamicness of a collection of books over the high-tech staticness of a computer with no internet.

Definitely the books. How does the computer provide entertainment without Internet? A fun evening of word processing? You could have games, I guess, but I don't play those and you didn't say you couldn't have a separate game console.
