how do you start to feel when you are getting closer to labor?

I felt more energy during the day~nesting instincts. When I started labor I felt pressure on my bladder and it felt like I had to pee all the time, but to no avail.
It was hard to sit, or lay down and after a while it was uncomfortable to stand. Time to head 'er in if you have that going on! Good luck and best wishes!

pains in your stomach called contractions which when close to actually giving birth come within 10 minute of each other. In most cases but not all your water will break. Also if you are within the last 3 weeks you will know it is coming because you will start nesting, which could mean you keep washing that bath tub even though you already did it yesterday, or make food for 12 even though its just you and your partner eating, baking a tons all of these are signs. All 3 of my children felt a bit differently.. For me the signs were nesting I started cooking/cleaning fanatically in the week or two before.. Then the day before I couldn't seem to get enough sleep.. Finally when the day arrived I felt like everything in my belly was on a southern migration.. I could take a really deep breath something I hadn't been able to do in months I felt ravenously hungry yet again something I hadn't felt in months.. I also noticed a marked decrease in the movement of the baby, instead of feeling like the baby was dancing at a rave inside me it felt more like a slow waltz. I also noted a marked increase in the number of times I had to urinate and a decrease in the amount per trip..

You'll feel your stomach tightening periodically as you close in on labor. The thing is, most people who have never had a baby have a hard time differentiating the braxton-hicks contractions with real ones.

Real ones WILL hurt. Braxton-Hicks are uncomfortable, but not painful, and are usually irregular.

You will probably have a persistant lower back ache, as well.

I had no idea it was going to happen. I was 6 days late and had taken my new car for a test drive that afternoon, then my waters broke at midnight! I remember being really tired, but nothing more than that. No nesting or pains or warning signs! Probably my fault for trying to start labour by eating spicy currys for 2 nights in a row!!

I had a really bad lower back ache.... that is how I knew when I started labor.

Otherwise, I was exhausted and hot and crabby and couldn't wait to get the baby out!! LOL

With both my children, I felt great that day. But I did experience the "nesting syndrome". I cleaned and scrubbed my entire house from top to bottom, and a couple hours after I had finished, my water broke. I never had any contractions or anything until after my water broke. Of course, it's different with everyone.

in your last month you may have to pee more frequently as the baby has dropped and putting more pressure on your uterus. you may also start getting contractions that come and go that are irregular, you may start to feel crampy and irritable. for me with my 2nd child in the last 4 weeks i guess b/c my stomach was so big and i was eating so much (??) it was like no matter how much i swallowed to get the food down it was at the top of my throat and it would make me feel so sick.....i developed acid reflux until i gave birth! with my first child i just got very crampy the last 2 weeks and then one night in the middle of sleep my water broke!!!

whilst i became that a techniques alongside I felt like a beached wale. It became so difficult to do something and that i became so uncomfortable. That suggested, i presumed hard artwork became close for the final month. somewhat after inner tests. i might have cramps and such. I had my final appt. 2 days until now hard artwork. I felt extra crampy and form of a burning sensation in my cervix section for most of the day after the appt. I felt extra useful interior the night and the subsequent morning. approximately 2 that day I have been given a sharp, consistent, back discomfort. I had a feeling it became the commencing up of something yet new i does not start up genuine hard artwork for a jointly as.i attempted stretching and switching positions in spite of the shown fact that it does not circulate away. finally approximately mattress time it eased up and that i presumed properly in keeping with risk that became no longer something inspite of each and every thing. well you feel like shooting the man who did this to you.But you feel preasure like you got to go to the bathroom.you feel like your restless and miserable`then you get painsthat literlly feel like their in your uterus. you know the strange thing is that it is the most unberable pain but god gets you through it and you dont remember the the true feeling of it you know you had pain but it doesnt seem that bad.
