Year after year we pay more taxes for aid to education. Yet every year tutition goes higher and higher. Aren't we tired of playing this game? Let's face it, collleges and universities know how to play the taxpayers for suckers. Let's put an end to this. Let's use vouchers for higher education and make schools compete for our money. What do you think?

Actually, this isn't true in the state of Nevada... In fact, tuition keeps going up while the aid stays the EXACT same. We have an instate scholarship, called Millenium... and well.. it USED to provide $80/credit at a university/college, for as many credits as you took each semester. You got it for being a Nevada resident and graduating from a Nevada High School... anyways... recently... the funding of this scholarship was cut... drastically. Too many people qualified, under their old standards, so they were changed so LESS people could recieve this scholarship... So Instead of paying $80/credit for as MANY credits you took, you will only get that $80 for up to 12 credits. Only $980 a semster, when you add it up...
AND tuition has SKYROCKETED for us!! When I started at UNLV, tutition was about 98 dollars a credit... before I graduate, I will be paying close to 130 dollars PER CREDIT!

So.... As far as your agrument goes... I don't see it... beceause it seems to me that Aid stays the same OR lowers... while tuition, AND books AND housing, continues to rise.
