If you can't take the keyboard out and wash it on it's own this is what you can do (if you dare):
1) I'm insane and if you do this and it doesn't work, it's your fault for doing what a crazy person told you to do.
2) unplug the laptop, take out the big battery, the hard drive and CD/DVD player, and then the little round battery.
3) if you could do all that, here comes the crazy part: wash the laptop. Try the shower or the kitchen sink and use ONLY WATER (no dishwashing soap!!! ). Take care not to get any water on or in anything other than the keyboard. Don't you DARE use a dishwashing machine.
4) let the laptop sit on a drainboard and use a blowdrier on it. Make sure to turn it around a bit every now and then to get more water out. Then let it sit for a while and air dry.
5) next day or so: get that blow drier out again and go through the drying process again (you know, just to be sure).
6) put the little round battery in, put the hard drive and CD/DVD player back in, put the big battery back in, plug the laptop back in.
7) cross your fingers and turn on the laptop.
Have fun and be careful!

If you can afford Vanilla Latte and a laptop (when 4 billion people live in poverty) then you can buy a replacement

maybe tip it upside down, try to get all the liquid out.
i spilled pop on my dvd player remote last week and i tried to tap out some of the liquid and then i hit it with the blow dryer a little bit. it didn't work that night but it worked the next day. i don't know if that would work for a lap top or not though.
maybe it will be better when the stuff dries?
good luck.

Laptop keyboards can usually be replaced separately. But they are a bit of a pain in the azs to replace.

until you replace the laptop's keyboard you can use a regular ps/2 keyboard on the laptop (if the laptop has a ps/2 port. if it doesn't u can use a usb to ps/2 adaptor)

Laptop keyboards can be replaced. It does cost a bit much, though. I would write her and apology and offer to pay to fix it. Don't just sit there. Apologize! Tell her, I mean, she'll forgive you if you tell her first.

If you ruined her laptop before you typed this question then why were you using her laptop instead of the computer you are on now?

Can you take it real quick to a computer repair shop? I mean right now? They may be able to get it cleaned out. If it's ruined, I'm afraid you'll have to replace it with another.

Ok there are three ways:
1. get it fix, (hope that she has a warranty)
2. confess to it and tell her
3. When is the next bus to Mexico?
