I'm trying to find out the origin of an antique desk?

It has hooves for legs (Goat I think) and stars around each drawer knob.

I had the same problem... I invited an antiques dealer over to give me an estimate of its value. I believe I paid for the service... maybe $30.

STARS INDICATE FEDERALIST PERIOD FURNITURE !!!!COULD THE HOOVES BE FROM BISON...PERHAPS AN ALLUSION TO THE WESTERN EXPLORATIONS OF LEWIS AND CLARK UNDER THOMAS JEFFERSON'S PRESIDENCY????EARLY 1800'S WOULD BE A GOOD GUESS PERHAPS!!ARE THERE ANY GRECO-ROMAN TOUCHES???POST A PICTURE!!!
