It will work but don't crank too long or you will overheat the wires and starter.
Don't worry about idle speed-not running is OK

If you are worried about electronics just leave the cables connected for a few minutes to charge the motorcycle battery then disconnect before starting.
If there is a hill nearby coast down it and start it in gear-turn ignition on get up to 10 miles an hour and let the clutch out.

As long as the voltage is the same there is no problem. Hook and unhook the positive cables first. Also amke sure the two vehicle do not tough in anyway. The amp hour or AH is only the capacity of the battery and does not matter.

yes ,connect the cables in the proper manner , i hope you know how if not ask someone that does, only connect the cables when your ready to start the bike dont leave the cables connected for an extended time.then crank your bike and remove the cables , if your still having trouble starting your bike remove cables and determine what the problem is .dont wind the starter for to long, this will damage it .if it cranks like it should you may want to get a new batt as soon as possible you dont want to make this a regular pratice, good luck and happy motoring.p.s. you should not run the car while jumping you r bike th e car batt should have more than enough to crank it

It is okay to put a charge in the motorcycle battery with the car running. But don't crank the motorcycle over while the car is running.

it is definetly not recommended but I used to have a bike that the batteries were always dying. I used to jump it from a car on a reg basis. I used to turn the car off though. If possible, I would try to push start the bike and only jump from a car as a last resort.

There is no need to run the car engine.

Buy a new motorcycle battery. Replace the earth lead and check it's connection to the frame (often corroded). Ride more often and faster (always good advice!!)

safe ridin'

Don't have the car on or the alternator will fry the motorcycle's electrical system and disconnect the jumper cables as soon as possible.

Yes it is. I used to use my car to jump my lawn tractor. It uses a motocycle battery. The circuits will only draw so much power no matter how much is available.

DO NOT HAVE THE CAR RUNNING when you do this. It can be done though.
