No, I don't hate them. I'm 34 years old, straight, married, and a big fan of the Eagles, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, etc. There's nothing to hate about the Backstreet Boys. They fit (or fitted) a basic music need that always exists. Young heartthrobs, who sing and dance to music that is unoffensive, playful, and appeals mostly to preteen girls. I don't put them in the same category as the before-mentioned artists, but they fill a need, and they've always been around. When I was in high school, they were called New Kids on the Block and New Edition. A generation before me called them the Jackson 5, and before that, the original "boy band" was the Beatles. People who like to bash the Backstreet Boys or any other group like them usually are either:1) Ignorant about the history of music, or 2) Jealous that a band that doesn't sound like their favorite band is so popular. Don't pay any attention to these people. Just enjoy the music for what it is: Pop music with a lot of interesting history behind it.

If I cannot hate them in order to be your friend then, No, I do not hate them. I will begin listening to each and every one of their songs as part of a nightly ritual in order to become your friend. Message me pretty please. Backstreet Boys is the coolest or close to it of all time.

Even if I didn't like them I save hate for more important things like pedophiles and Hitler. But no I don't hate them they were good in there time. Not my cup of tea but millions of screaming teenage girls cant be all wrong. And they brought a lot of joy to a lot of people.

Yes. I was 10 when the boy band thing was on. Thank god it's over. They don't write their own lyrics, they can't sing, they don't play an instrument and they just use music to attract ladies. Thank god their gone.

I hate all boy bands. They have no musical talent and yet the radio stations don't stop playing their crap that passes for music.

i don't like any boy groups. i used to when they first came out but haven't since then. i like classic rock and alternative rock now. i just grew out of them.
