Think of it you well not be abel to get to your nice house, no truck well bring food into town. You well not be able to escape. People well probaly want to kill you for some over look item you never thought of before.

Human is resilient. We will figure some alternative means of energy. In the meantime when the oil is out and the alternative is not available, watch out.

Countries that are oil thirsty like the USA would lose it's dominance.(sadly) The good new is that people would find alternative sources of energy. Remember..There is absolutely nothing wrong with moving around with a horse cart !.( don't worry the food supplies would reach into town) I lived at least one decade of my life...the simple way: no car, no electricity etc.
In the night it was story telling time around a coconut oil lamp...my fundest memories...

I am sure that the human race will not stop from running out of oil. We have ways to run without it. We will live on tell the sun goes into a super nova.

First of all your parents are the people that said their would be no oil by the year 2000.
I agree we need alternative energy sources but this is a dumb question.

My husband works in the oil field. oil is not going to run out. You are a moron. people like you start stuff that doesn't even need to be started. oh yeah, just because oil prices are high doesn't mean oil field workers pay went up, just the owners pay did.

Who ever said it would run out? Some scare mongers have been stating we would run out of oil decades ago but we have not. There are millions of barrels available if we're willing to drill in those places for them. Eventually we will.
