and just as many that believe just as firmly that they do. Are there any "agnostic" types that are unsure? It seems that you do, or you don't, but never any "I'm not sures" (except for me)

Everytime I hear of a UFO sighting, it has always been disproved. Isn't it strange that Christianity has been around for over 2000 years - but no one has proved that there isn't a God. I put a question on here awhile ago, asking if anyone had positive proof that God DIDN'T exist. I sure got some flaky answers that had nothing to do with the question.

Hi ! I'm pretty certain that there is life elsewhere out there given the sheer size of the universe, and some forms must be much more advanced than us, so it is possible, or even probable that we have been visited ... But are we that special ? And, as of yet, we have no firm proof - unless it is being covered up, and such a thing would definitely be covered up as it would change everything for us... Catch 22 ...

And atheists probalby tend to believe in these possible visitations more than religious believers as religions tend to place man as the central tenet of God's creation, and acceptence of extraterrestrials would be in conflict with their belief systems ...

But you are totally right yourself to be agnostic, as you should follow your own path, keep an open mind, and look at the evidence as it comes... This is the attitude adopted by UFO debunkers, who really are mostly trying to find cases that they cannot explain, which would give them reason to believe that perhaps something has happened ...

We have been here for ages, on and off. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species and your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

I'm not sure. On one hand, I beleive this universe is too big for us to be the only ones, on the other hand, since most claims of UFO's have them as being way more technilogically advanced than us, then why, if they exist, havent they come to earth and let us know they are there? Its not black and white for me. By the way, I am not Atheist...if that matters.

Well, I will say that comparing one's belief in God and one's belief in UFO's is not quite a true analogy. Belief in God is all about faith in God himself, and not so much about physical evidence. Belief in UFO's is all about faith in eyewitnesses (many of questionable character), and is very much dependent upon the physical evidence available.

Simple logic and knowledge of the laws of physics makes the prospect of Earth-visiting aliens seem highly unlikely. Whereas when debating the existence of God, there is no possible way one can use physical evidence in an argument, it is purely philosophical.

Here's a breeding pair spotted in the 1960's. I wonder what happened to them?

First, I believe all things are possible.

But as the saying goes, "Seeing is Believing!"

I don't reject the possibility out of hand but I would have to see it,
touch it, hear it, smell it, and feel it in order to unequivocally agree they exist.

Have fun but be safe.

The fact that the distance from us to even our closest stellar neighbor is an insurmountable distance tells me that it is impossible we have been visited by beings from other worlds.
