my parents are so overprotective?

they dont let me cross the streets by myself! i am 13! give me a break! they dont like it when i eat lolliepops. they give me 10,000 resons why i shoulnt hang out . or go outside to chill with my friend s or even my own close COUSINS they say shut like that.perves. they star at the cute boys that look at me i dont care i can take care of it by myself . why cant i be like other pple.i know its a good thing they are just trying to protect me but they try t hard what can i do????

well my mom dont treat me like this but unfortunately my dad does.. I talked to him about it and told him how depressing it was to go to school and hear all your friends talkin bout what they did what happened and how much fun it was and u sittin there wishin u couldve went.. he fortunately gave in.. so just try talkin to 'em about it.. Show them how responsible you are with your good grades and your clean room, and tell them you know a guy should treat you with respect and you wouldnt even think of choosin a guy who would treat you disrespectful, ask them if they would consider meeting your guys or friends before you went places with them.. well

Try and remember that they love you and want the best for you. It's hard to "let go" of a kid. Let them see that you are responsible, and trustworthy. Even then, it's not you that they don't trust, it's others, so just try and be patient.

you're right. most people feel this way at your age. it really does suck.
try to show them how responsible you are (great grades, cleaning, etc.) and maybe they will (slowly) give you more leeway.
