I think salmonella causes diarrhea. But there are much safer ways than catching a disease from eating raw eggs. Try Apple or Prune juice or just buy an ex lax pill. Just don't eat the raw egg. As far as that friend goes, I would check out all of his/her advice before I listened to any of it...

No, raw eggs are not safe. You should try getting more water and fiber into your diet. You can also take a stool softener daily, eat prunes, or take an over the counter laxative. But if you take a laxative, only take the recommended dose, if you don't get immediate results wait, because you will eventually. If you take to much you will have severe cramping and possibly diarrhea

Not sure why raw eggs would help with being plugged up. I think it's not generally as safe as it used to be, due to salmonella, but I might be misinformed on that one.
Try fiber (think Metamucil) or eat a bunch of flax seeds (not the oil). Or Dr. Schulzes' "Intestinal formula #1" will for sure do the trick! Also a tea called "get regular" by yogi teas has worked very well for me as well.
Oh yeah...and the basics! Drink more water and eat more fiber.

I would not suggest raw eggs or raw meat for any thing.
First is good hydration. Water, water, water
Second is exercise, walking is best.
Third is diet high in fiber such as raw veggies, prunes/prune juice, whole grains and avoiding junk food.
Try to avoid OTC laxatives but use on a rare basis sometimes is required.

Raw eggs ingestion can be harmful in two ways. one is the taste and smell. The other very important is that raw egg contains a substance called as AVIDIN and it bind an essential Vitamin BIOTIN and makes it unavailable to the boby so you can become deficient in this particular vitamin which can be harmful. THere are other remedies like taking raw fruits and vegetables. Yu can use laxatives also.

I've never heard of that remedy. Adding fiber to your diet (Metamucil, bran cereals and so forth), drinking lots of water (hot or cold), drinking warm tea, and exercising is a few ways to help relieve constipation. If these things does not work try over the counter medicines such as a stool softener or laxative (Corectol). If that does not work. It's time for you to see a gastroenterologist because something might be wrong and may need further evaluation.

I wouldn't do it. Even though raw eggs are used in foods like mayonnaise, the vinegar cooks the egg whites. but a better alternative would be a diet high in raw foods and fiber like salads. And if you want a quick fix go smoke a cigarette.

Nope, raw eggs can give you salmonella poisoning. Even lightly cooked eggs can make you sick. As far as constipation goes, Massage your lower abdomen to try and help to move the stool downward. As stated above...LOTS of water, your bowel needs it to smooth things on the way out.

I wouldn't eat raw eggs to aid in your constipation. If I were you, I would drink/eat prunes or ingest a tiney bit of fleet (you can buy it at Wal-mart). I've heard mineral oil helps too.

OMG don't eat raw eggs!! Drink plenty of water and increase your fiber intake. If you still are having problems, try a Fleet's Enema kit. It maybe terrible but, it will work.
