Lots of reasons...
You, personally, have not endeared yourself to progressives.
This is Yahoo! Answers, not exactly a bastion of maturity.
Politics is hot topic, very touchy.
Try this: Create a new Yahoo identity, then recreate some of your questions as anti-Conservative. Let's see how polite all of your responses are.

It depends on how the question is phrased. For example if someone asks "what do liberals think about ...." you'll get more serious responses than if you were to ask "what do America hating liberals think about ...?" I'm a democrat and if you want my opinion on a subject I'll share it with you. But if the vary way the question is phrased is a cheap shot then why should I take it seriously? Your question also implies that no one on the right is belligerent or insulting when you know that some of them are. I would just refer you to posts by AhHa or JohnSkerry as two examples. After looking at your questions I would put you in the same category as them.

Could it maybe be they're being offended by the questions being asked?? I mean if someone were constantly posting questions that had to deal with the looks of women who are liberals or saying that liberals hate America, etc. some people might feel insulted. I know you would never post such questions. I for one will gladly answer any question that doesn't start off with demeaning labels. Give it a shot.......we might be able to discuss something intelligently with each other.

Liberals only want Republicans to be "tolerant"...not themselves.
Democrats are the ones calling the president and his staff as
Hitler, undermining democracy, war mongers, thugs, the enemy
and other such names that are real insults. Apparently, that's the
kind of people that are Liberal. Not good for this country.

Some people just return in kind what they receive.
I've noticed many people from both sides of the spectrum hurling insults, but most of them are in response to somone else hurling insults first.
It's a self-perpetuating cycle. Or a contagious mental disease. And sadly not one restricted to one particular end of the spectrum.

Because, like their name-calling counterparts on the other side, they have little to add to the debate and/or few original ideas. If someone asks an honest, unbiased question, they get an honest, unbiased answer (at least from me). Those questions are very rare, though, as are those answers.

I checked out your questions. Every one contains the words
liberal or Democrat, except the the 2 about K-fed & Vanilla Ice.
All of your questions hurl insults & portray meaness.
Maybe, you are your own worst enemy, no offense intented.
