I served 77days of a 6 month sentence for contempt of court in San Antonio. I had a very bad child custody battle; so I tried to argue my point with the Judge, so he tossed me in Jail.

Four years ago I was charged with "Parent contributing to the truancy of a child". It is a long story but I did not agree that I was guilty of this. I told the judge that I wasn't going to pay the fine. To quote Arlo Guthrie, "I was immediately arrested, handcuffed" and taken to jail in San Antonio. I found out that 1
day in jail equals $100.00. So I was in jail for a little over 24 hours. They released me from my cell at midnight of the 3rd day. What was I thinking!!!!! I should have just paid the damn fine and gone home. It wasn't the inmates that I had trouble with, it was the guards. I was 46 at the time and I made the mistake of calling a guard, dear heart. What can I say, I am an old lady,I say that to young people all the time. That ***** told me that I had a lot of nerve to speak to her like I was her "mother". Like I was insulting her or cussing her out. She told me to call her Corporal.
So I was sure to add as much disdain as I could muster and said Yes, Cooorpooraal. Now, I realize, those guards probably hear a lot of **** from prisoners. Maybe some of them deserve it. Needless to say that is not an experience that I would ever care to repeat. I don't even want to imagine prison. I will never forget my expererience "behind bars",
