what better way to make sure that any idea or agenda (crazy or otherwise) is not discounted by the general populace than to install 'experts' in various forums across the country to sing its praises. even if they don't bring aboard added supporters, they DO add credibility to any propaganda by insinuating that somebody somewhere supports it. and it's a lot easier to jump on board an idea if you think that you won't be alone.
some answers may be sincere, some may be planted. radio marti on yahoo answers? don't bet against it.

I can confirm the U.S.A. uses various methods of mis-information in war time - everyone through all eras has always done this, it's basic PSYOP.
Various "pollsters" have also been assembled by various agencies of governments in various times. There is some level of monitoring, constraint and control of all mass media. A nation state can't exist without having a finger on the pulse of the people so-to-speak.
However, many of these tasks are subtle and performed today by private think-tank folks. I think they do more "deep" internet searching and are not too concerned with what's going on in blogs and stuff.

I don't think anyone as yet has answered your question...but everyone sure has gotten defensive.
I hate to draw parallelisms between the current US and WWII Germany...but when I hear "normal" people talking about eradicating the Muslim population, it is reminiscent of that time period...and pretty damn scary.
But I don't think that the government has to plant people to answer questions to their liking. With the help of the mass media and government controlled schools, they are teaching us what they want us to think and say. The powers that be know that there are enough people in the population that will listen and follow everything that they are told to...scary parallelisms again.

The term is Bushbot, and yes, they are in all parts of Yahoo.
You can find out what the fresh 'talking points' are going to be by the messages and questions that they post.
Pays be the hour, I suspect.

Yes, and I'm one of them. If this were a fascist police state, I'd hunt you down, arrest you, torture you to find out about your friends, and then lock you away and forget about you--or maybe I'd just have you shot. Unfortunately, this is a republic that wouldn't stand for such a thing. So, we have to let you speak your drivel and dream your conspiracies without any consequence but to tell you just how ridiculous it is.

No. There are more real Americans that hate your left wing bias than you are able to admit to. You liberals are hated by everyone but other left wing zealots. You've gone too far, you are off the scale. You should all move to france or kill yourselves. Leave this great country for those of us who can be proud and appreciate it.

why are you so worried about America, unless you agree with the statement that what happens to one will affect the other, then you must fully agree with the war on terror.
