This morning (about 3 hours ago) I began spotting a reddish brown discharge. Not nearly as much as the first day of a period only enough to wear one small panty liner and now the spotting has stopped. I have had LOTS of sex everyother day....

I REALLY dont want to get my hopes up :(
I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative...

What do you guys think my chances are and when should I take the test again? I am happy but am trying so hard to not think about it because I dont want to let myself down!!

spotting is nothing to worry about in the middle of your menstrual cycle. A lot of women get them occasionally by different reasons. I have sometimes spotting when I was really tired or nervous for last couple days or so. It's too early to take a test. Early results test can tell you if you're pregnant starting with 5 days before your expected periods. Closer to the date of the period, the more accurate the results are. Don't worry yet.

Occassional between period spotting is not uncommon..

Wait until September when you would normally start your cycle.. If you do not start on time take a home pregnancy test.. If it comes back positive make an appointment with your gyno so they can confirm it and get you on a prenatal schedule.. If it comes back negative and you do not start within a week of your normal start time also see your gyno..

If you are having all the sex in an attempt to become pregnant start taking a multi-vitamin now.. Being pregnant leeches alot of nutrients from your body and having an over abundant supply to start with is always a good idea.

This could be either break-through bleeding or implantation spotting. In neither case would an hpt necessarily register an accurate result--way too early.
If it is break-through bleeding, that would mean you are now available for impregnation, since you have now ovulated. If it were implantation, still too early to count.
Advise you contine eating sensibly and wait for a missed period before trying another hpt.

Dont bother with a one a day, just take a prenatal, you can take them during the time you're trying to conceive.

There are always chances that you're pregnant, especially if you have been trying.

Just wait until you miss your period, or wait a week or so and go insist on blood work from your doctor.

VISIT YOUR DOCTOR AND HAVE A BLOOD TEST DONE. WAY MORE ACCURATE THAN HPTS.
