definitly go to vermont. its beautiful! i live there..

plus thats the only state that doesnt have billboards :)

and there are so many mountains to climb and rivers to canoe and kayak on....if you like outdoorsy stuff! there arent a whole lot of places to shop in the southern part of vermont, but it doesnt matter because you can just drive to ma, ny, or nh to do that, and that are all very close. if you live in northern vermont, there's more shopping because of burlington, you've got lake champlain (where you can try and spot champ!), and you are right on the border of quebec. and this state actually has 4 seasons, whereas a lot of states dont. in the spring you get mud season for a couple of weeks from melted snow then beautiful flowers and trees start to bloom and you can see tons of birds and animals coming out (including black bears, deer and moose). then in the summer it gets to about the high of mid-eighties and you can do all the summer stuff. then for fall you get a TON of tourists which is annoying but the trees turn almost every color of the rainbow! winter is definitly the longest season and some years you can get up to 10 feet of snow.

haha sorry this is so long, i just had to capture the true essence of the state :)

hope this helps!!

I have been to Maine so many times and to me, it epitomizes New England coastal life. Rugged coastlines, great seafood, typical New Englander attitudes and accents, Colonial architecture. Such a beautiful place. If I had to choose one seaside town to live in, it would be Camden Maine.

Boston. Go to Boston. The people there are...something else.
