All plants absorb the greenhouse gas CO2 when they grown emit O2. The only problem is that the CO2 will be released again, when the plants decompose or are burned.

You mean ALL plants, including weeds you fool.

You can become "carbon neutral" though. Roughly calculate the carbon emmissions you contribute to each year - ie fuel consumption, heating you home etc and make a donation to have trees planted that will cancel out your carbon usage - great idea, and a good present for the environmentally conscious person.

Strange question. All plants "absorb" greenhouse gases. They inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen (this is really simplified but functionally true).
Humans breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.

the greenhouse gases that we are most worried about are either not absorbed or too high in the atmosphere to be absorbed AND THE MOST HEAT ABSORBING SUBSTANCE in the atmosphere is WATER VAPOR which is why the whole thing is out of our control !
