because they have the easiest schedule in the nfl. a high school team could make it to the playoffs with thier schedule.

They already had the best defense in the NFL, and then they went and drafted more defensemen to make it better. And people can whine about the offense, but they put up over 20 points against the panthers. Mike Brown (one of the best safeties in the NFL) was injured and they had a rookie corner on steve smith. If Rex can swallow his pride and play for ball control and lots of rushing, look for the bears in the NFC championship. And jason k... the Panthers won 29-21. Yes, they also scored over 20 points, but in football TWO teams can both score over 20. It is a marvelous game

The bears wont be great the only reason they will make it to the playoffs is because there defense will carry them to the playoffs and there offense will choke and they will go out first round of the playoffs but the packers will be horrble also because Brett Farve wont face facts and retire

Great defense and the packers are rebuilding unfortunatly the vikings will win the division and the lions will finish third behind the bears and vikings.
