IM 5'8, so short or long is no problem, but I want something bright and am having trouble finding something under $2000. Any ideas would be appreciated :)

ok: here's the deal with these dresses: the trashy ones are good for your wallet, and the elegant classy ones will make ya go bankrupt.

but there is a solution:
most people think department stores such as macy's carry the bad brands bad looks, etc. but it isnt true. rather it carries things u would see in nordstrom except you have lotsa sales on your side. check the junior section: dresses dresses and more dresses. i never have a hard time finding something tres chic but fun and a lil flirty for such a cruise. if juniors isnt your size plz do go to the womens section they have jsut the same amount of sales! trust me youj can probably get cocktail dresses without paying more than 500 dollars! and easily could get sumthinfor only 200!

tip: you wanna look your best right?? of course! so dont ever try to squeeze yourself in a small size to make ya look skinny cos if it doesnt fit you will look terrible! makeup: less is more. but to look glamorous, on bottom lid put a wild color such as something that may appear on your dress occasinally or somethong that is not there at all! every time you blink a flash of color! get a light shimmery power from benefit (best shimmers) and fluff it all over your face for a fresh sunkissed look. u dont need powder after all or even foundation. mascars is good, eyeliner is good. its in now to only put eyeliner on top lid...it brightens your features ;). id take something glossy for lips such as stila gloss cos it has great color but not to much shine. wear very neutral lipliner sucha s ulta tawny color becaus elal u need is to shape your lips. shoes: put a wild color! it doesnt have to match! its in to have a random color of shoes such as bright red or emerald green or tourquoise blue. dont wear too high of heeles tho.

omgshh i said way more than you ask but im glad to help any way i can. goodluck and best of wishes!

Since it is a cruise, go for a more summery look. Flowly dresses with high waists and small, unique details are definitely IN this season. Try something with a sophisticated floral pattern, but not too over the top! My favorite designer for fall dresses is BCBG Maxazria. They have a wide selection of reasonably-priced classy dresses that will flatter your body type. Go for something just passed the knees. Also try some metallic stilettos to jazz up a simple dress. Accessories make the outfit, so coordinate everything. Good luck darling!

I know I am fabulous!

Fun!! My suggestion is something long, slinky, very low back, like a drapy back similar to a cowel neck line, but low in back. Showing off skin in an elegant way is a sexy style. You could also go for a dress with sparkle, not high school prom sparkle, but long, elegant, well-fitted sparkle, with hints of skin showing. Have you tried going to small bridal and formal wear shops locally? They can have a huge selection of lovely dresses for very reasonable prices. One more thought I just had, I have seen the most beautifull vintage dresses on ebay, one of them was a vintage Gunne Sack brand dress. Here is the link to look at it because it was Amazing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=001&item=110016291006&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Hope this helps!

Go to Windsor Fashions (in just about any mall). They have all sorts of dresses that would work, most being well under two grand (more like under $500).

if u want your dress to be sexy and short (well not that short lol) you should try dior and if u want to spend $60 -$200 you can go to macy's its the summer so they will still have the dresses there.
