Perhaps you could have defined 'boyfriend'. If you have a boyfriend and you share lunches at school or talk for hours on the phone, no problem. But you are to young, in my opnion, to have a physical relationship with a boyfriend. This means petting , fore play, intercourse and even heavy kissing. However I do think at 13 you are mature enough to give and receive a kiss and hold hands.
Be a good girl and don't try to grow up to fast.

Of course you can have a boyfriend. Middle school and elementary school is no fun if you can't have some boys to flirt with. Even in kindergarten I had my admirers. Just make sure you aren't getting too serious with the boy, because the boy you'll most likely end up marrying probably lives in another state. Yours truly :D

Let me ask you a few questions o.k.?
Please answer yourself carefully you have to live forever with the answers o.k.?
1. Are you sure you're emotionally at a point right now in your life when you can live outside of yourself comfortably giving all of yourself not to your needs, wants, and ideas but to helping someone else more fully uncover their hidden potential and learn more about their potential strengths/
2. Are you sure that right now you have the wisdom to do this not because "everyone else is doing it" but because you're totally sure that you've found someone who will over time grow to selfishly give themselves to you and devote themselves to you as you sound willing to do here?
3. And finally the question most often is "could" you but would it be in your best interest do?
God Bless You!
May God grant you wisdom, a correct perspective, and peace with the final outcome of whatever you decide.
Ciao!

Oh, YOU should wait until you are about 16! Be friends with ALL THE GUYS you like. When you are 13, you do NOT need to ISOLATE yourself from others. You can do that when you are 16 or older...
Besides, you might find that liking YOURSELF the way you are will attract other people to you!

A boyfriend that you socialize with at school is OK. But I think you are too young to date.

SURE YOU COULD HAVE A BOYFRIEND, BUT DON'T LET IT TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE. YOU HAVE LOTS OF TIME TO MEET GUYS AND FALL IN LOVE, SO DON'T RUSH IT. BY ALL MEANS HAVE LOTS OF BOY-FRIENDS, THEY CAN BE FUN RELATIONSHIPS. BOYFRIENDS (NOTICE THE HYPEN OR LACK OF) ON THE OTHER HAND CAN BE GREAT FUN UNTIL IT'S OVER, AND THEN IT REALLY HURTS. DON'T RUSH THE PAIN OF IT ALL.

You certainly COULD. I don't know that you should, that's up to you. Do you want to? Is there a guy you like? Just don't get suckered into peer pressure thinking that since "all your friends are doing it" you should too.
