what happened to Rafael Palmeiro and Sammy Sosa? Did they both retire?

Yep, they both retired. Palmeiro did so in disgrace, as he tested positive for steroids. Hope this helps.

Don't know what happened to Sosa, but Palmeiro was forced to retire due to a steroid scandal...PERIOD!!!

Rafael retired and Sosa thinks he is coming back next year. My guess is some team will offer him 500K a year and he will be insulted and retire.

Rafael.... he retired. he is not coming back. And for Sammy... there was a report that he was in his country for refreshments and rests. And he says he wants to undercover himself to get out of the steroid case. Sammy said that he might come back and play baseball.

it is true that they are retired for now but sosa sayed that if he gets the right offer he will return. however his agent said taht he has likely played his last games. and sosa did get offered 500k from the nats.
