my mom hates my style style and i hate hers. she hates mine because she sai's i dress preppy. but all she wears is white,grey,and really weird dresse's and it gets on my nerves when she sai's MY style is ugly! HELP!

just tell your mom your you, she's her. you guys shouldn't drees on what each other like, drees to fit your taste. mom and I don't agree on styles, in fact if she doesn't like it she knows i will, thats how she has picked out most the clothes she's gotten me for christmas. each of you are unique, and have your own style and tate-plus, she grew up in a different time period. things that may have been cool then, may not be know, but your mmom grew up to those fashions and that's what she likes. Just set her dowm and explain things are differnt know, and you want to xpress your individuality. (just don't go looking like a slut)

Well, My mom doesn't like my style either, but I guess you just need to sit down and talk to her. Just tell her that you wear clothing that expresses you, and whether she likes it or not, she can't change the way you feel, and what makes you, well YOU! Don't be mean about it, just let her know that it bothers you that she doesn't like it, and ask her to not rag on you all the time because of it too. Tell her that you don't like her style either, but you still accept her for who she is, so why can't she accept you?
Style says a lot about a person, and you style is just saying that you care about your looks and you don't want to look like you just dived out of a garbage can, and that's fine, I mean at least she should be glad you wear clothes that look halfway decent, and acceptable to others.
I guess the only way to get your mom off your back, is to tell her how you feel about the problem, tell her that if she leaves you alone about your sense of style you will leave her alone about hers too, I guess you just need to take an understanding approach! I hope that helped!

just for fun i would have a girls day out shopping. just to try on clothes, step out of your comfort zone and try on things you would not normally try on. Pick out clothes for your mom to try on and let her pick out things for you to try on. I'm not saying buy the clothes just try everything and anything on just to see how it looks. I'm sure you will have a great time laughing and trying on every style in the store and i know you both will be surprised by what you like.

That happens with my mom and I ALL the time... I just say, look its my stlye and I should wear what I want. If she says no, I just do it anyways! They are your own clothes...you should do what you want!

tell her that once SHE stars dressing like you, then it becomes uncool. If she falls for it then you can go out shoping together.
