I know someone who has a theory that when sufficient methane has been absorbed into water particles from methane hydrates being released into the atmosphere, and freezes into hailstones the head of a storm, it will fall as burning hail. Can anyone give me a contact to verify this theory?

not a chance in hell ( this premise is so wrong in so many ways ) but just a few 1 methane mixed with water would not ignite 2 it would not freeze ( if it did it would be a gas inside the hailstone ) 3 if by some miracle the above occurred it would burn in a flash and never reach the ground IS THIS some weird reference to Hail and Brimstone ?

if u can get ice to ignite well of course if not there is ur answer but if u added methane to water it would be reconverted into acid rain (carbonic acid) and oxygen gas
