I am not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. I do know what to include and what not to include. It should not be longer than a page double (double spaced if you are short with words and 1 1/2 spacing if not). Spell out incorporated (ALWAYS!). Discuss how the women on your campus that are members have contributed to your college experience. Try to incorporate the principles of the organization in your discussion of why you want to be apart of the organization. Use good grammer and even try to get a member you can trust to proofread your letter. Use basic essay format and be honest. Always know what you have written in case you are asked about it later.

I think you have made a good choice. Best wishes.

We have a AKA Sorority here locally.

My best advice: DON'T JOIN!!!

They are only concerned about themselves and do nothing for the community except to complain about racial issues.

A few years ago, A man named Kenneth Walker was accidentally shot and killed during a traffic stop by the police. Mr.Walker was a prominent member of the community but was seen at a crack house earlier before he was killed; I wonder why, Hmmm?
The police had apologized and made amends, but the "N" people, most at AKA, still won't drop the case because he was accidentally shot by a white officer.

Look into another sorority.
