None. It was purely based on intelligence gathered by the British authorities with help from the Pakistani authorities in the few days leading up to the foiling of the plot.

The British authorities had the suspects under surveillance for many months and were gathering evidence about their associates, financiers etc. Evidence given to the British by the Pakistanis caused them to believe an attack would take place soon and it was decided that the time had come to arrest the suspects.

Intelligence would have been shared with the US but the US didn't play an active role.

This is more of a quick answer forum than a detail oriented forum.

What you need is a Secret Clearance to find out what America knew and when.

Assuming you are a terrorist (because only Islamofascist would want the information you ask for) It is obvious you are simply trying to get Yahoo Answers to inform you of what steps you made mistakes on while planning to blow up airplanes.

We are not going to to help you kill Americans by telling you secret CIA information.

The gov't had been knowing about a certain plot, but were not sure what it was, so after months of wire-tapping, they waited until the terrorists gave the words "let's do it" and then they were caught.

It is kinda like season four of 24, which the show is the most emmy-nominated show on television: 12 nominations.

Their role was to take every photo opportunity there was. They were in charge of chasing the TV cameras down and clinging to them until they ran out of battery.
