As I recall it was about 80 cents to start and went up to $1.00 or $1.25 or so sometime between freshman and senior years. Sorry - I brought my lunch from home so I can't be any closer than that. Freshman year was 1983-84 and Senior year was 1986-87. This was in Utah.

i think ours was between 2.50-3.00 when i lived in america for high school when i moved backto canada for 2 more years of high school we barely ate at the h.s cuz wehad mcdonalds, bk and dominos across the street so it cost like 5 bucks...but the cafeteria at that school was anywhere from 2-5 dollars depending on what you had. school lunches should be cheap! some kids got it like free or reduced but my parents always made just a littlemore money than the limit

Probably .50 a day......mmm that is once I started attending public school. Before that Mom got up every AM and made our sandwiches.. Sometimes we got nothing but butter and sugar on bread. We didn't get to eat in an AC'd building either. It's hot down here in FL!
YOU kids have it made today, be greatful.
