I have a child who just turned 18 but i have no contact with her. I pay my child support faithfully but how will i know when to stop paying if the burden of proof ( from the courts perspective) is on me to show whether she's working or going to school but we have no contact?

Please don't tell me you send the money directly to your Ex? Where I live, we have a 'Child Support Division' through our city. Whomever might be paying
child support, pays through them; that way you have records. When the child turns 18, you no longer have to pay child support. Did you write checks? If so, find the copies(endorsed checks), or go to you bank and have the bank
search for the checks. You don't have to have contact with your child, in order to see if you fulfilled your commitment. Another thing,.....do you have your child's social security number? There are certain databases one can get into, and they can tell you exactly what she is doing, but you would need the social security number. Surely among all your papers, you have that number. Now here's where it could blow up in your face,.........even with the child turned 18, if you are in the rears, you 'still' have to mpay, until you are caught up. Good luck,.....
