i have both yahoo and msn on my computer.

I prefer MSN Messenger. However, in the next fews months, MSN and Yahoo will have intergrated capability so you can use either program and be able to communicate with users from both services! OH YEAH!
Also, there are programs out there that allow you to connect to multiple services using one program, such as Trillian:
