If you are over 40 do not hesitate. Go to the ER of your local Hospital now!

Heart disease and Heart attack are the most undiagnosed health problems for women over 40!!!

Do a Google on "female heart disease" and you will find loads of info on this topic.

Just so you know, I am a male over 50 and I have had a long history of heart issues including being a heart attack survivor.

Don't take chances. Be safe and talk with you doctor and the ER in your local hospital as soon as possible.

Best wishes, have fun but be safe.

Costochondritis. In this condition — also known as Tietze's syndrome — the cartilage of your rib cage, particularly the cartilage that joins your ribs to your breastbone, becomes inflamed. The pain from costochondritis (kos-toe-KHON-dri-tis) may occur suddenly and be intense, leading you to assume you're having a heart attack. Yet the location of the pain is different. Costochondritis causes your chest to hurt when you push on your sternum or on the ribs near your sternum. Heart attack pain is usually more widespread, and the chest wall usually isn't tender

If the pain radiates from your neck to your left arm with shortness of breath you just have an INFARCT. Some of the times this condition it's asymptomatic, untill it progresses. Call 911 and state your problem. Do not schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Last spring I was experiencing chest pains which I'd ignored for awhile. After spending time in the ER (for way too many hrs.!!), nothing wrong was found. I truly was afraid I was having a heart attack. They think it was stress-related.

Go get checked out to be sure. I don't know your age, but after menopause women's risk of heart attacks rises.
